A DIALOGUE BETWEEN SCHOLARS FROM THE UNIVERSITIES OF MARRAKECH, RABAT AND HEIDELBERG

In memory of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ait El Ferrane

The conference on “Values in Christian and Islamic Narrative” explores the question of how central social values are grounded in religious traditions and are embodied and communicated in and through narratives. In a conversation between scholars from the Universities of Marrakech, Rabat and Heidelberg we will concentrate on Islamic and Christian narrative. The conference not only facilitates an interreligious dialogue on values, but combines perspectives from different disciplines such as literary, cultural and religious studies.

The conference will be held in English and German.

We warmly invite young researchers from the respective disciplines, Ph.D. students related to the heiEDUCATION-cluster “Kulturelles Erbe” (Cultural Heritage) as well as M.Ed. students at Heidelberg University and the Heidelberg University of Education.
